I don’t care what you think of this president, this is some smooth work in this video. I got goosebumps when the people toward the end are jumping up and down. It’s such a cool visual.  

65% approval ratings? Awesome. 

Seems like there’s a verse I’ve got memorized about leadership acting diminutive toward their status. Matthew 19:30: “But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.”

Manduca quinquemaculata

I took this picture of a tobacco worm last summer.

My neighbor is an urban farmer and keeps all kinds of vegetable plants on her deck. She’s also a vegetarian and teaches environmentalism.

Of course, I thought the worm was beautiful and took several pictures of it. I forwarded the pictures to my neighbor. The next thing I knew she was on her porch burning worms.

Apparently they will ruin the crop given the opportunity.

They sure are beautifully evolved creatures though. Look at those “eyeballs” that decorate its back. And the color camouflages itself well.

Motion Picture Redux and Redefined

One thing I want to implement on a frequent basis is a “motion picture”. Instead of a static image, I want to show an image that in motion. Esquire is starting to do motion pictures for their covers. So I think I want to implement this using my Canon 5D Mark II.
