***UPDATE***
Because I was late getting this post out thanks to the time it takes to edit video, I posted it without explanation.
Besides, at midnight last night, I was spent. And by spent, I mean, done. And by done, I mean … I had to go to bed.
I knew that I wanted to try and do a video, but I had no clue what it looked like or what the questions were that I’d ask. I knew I wanted to get people to makeup what SSA stood for.
That’s always funny.
Of course the information in the video isn’t entirely accurate. I pegged the SSA as a “collegiate” organization, but the SSA has a high school effort as well. But that’s beside the point.
The people in the video are all strangers except for the first guy who’s smoking. That’s Bill, my photography partner. He’s sitting on the back of his motorcycle smoking a cigarette. His answers make me laugh.
For the most part, three out of four of the people seemed to be advocates of free thinking. I thought that was pretty damn cool.
I had higher hopes for the video … that it would go wildly viral … let’s hope it does …

This is post 35 of 35 in the SSAweek Le Café Witteveen Blogathon. You can still donate to the SSA by supporting other blogathoners, art contributors, personal fundraising pages or through a direct donation to the SSA. SSA Week lasts through June 17. Spread it!
I waited up for this. Now I’m going to bed. Thanks for blogathoning with me! We totally raised a crap-ton of money. Clearly all us. Had nothing to do with CNN appearances or anything.
I am honored to have served with you. Thanks for staying up for the cause.
Let’s do it again sometime. But not sometime soon!
Thanks for letting me play the role of the buzzed party girl. Was awesome meeting you and your adorable pooch! Best of luck with all your endeavors. Hope you and Bill make it out to my hood sometime, NYC is always accepting more fun people.
I’m so happy you responded, Amy.
It was so great to meet you. You’re great people! Thanks again for participating in the video.
I can’t wait to be updated with what you do next.
We maybe in NYC this October for an apparel event. Hope to catch up with you then.
sounds great! New york is gorgeous in the fall!
New York is great all the time!
I hope you had fun during your visit to the windy city and Wrigley lived up to the legacy hype.
So true, visiting other cities always makes me realize how much I love my own. But Wrigley was awesome! Unfortunately I came down with a beast of a cold, had no voice and was sidelined in the hotel from friday evening til checkout sunday. Glad I got to have at least one good night though. Definitely need a chicago do over!
