What gets me is the believers who don’t fall for faith healing, don’t very vocally condemn it

Whatever you feel about this video of a faith healing from con-artist Rodney Howard-Browne, it’s the believers who don’t condemn it who bother me.

Some believers hate feeling inferior, yet they don’t speak out against this kind of con-artistry. Snake oil sales are lucrative.

It’s not bigotry or hateful to protect people from falling for these money-hungry jerks. Sometimes salvation is helping the needy not fall before the wolves.

One comment at Youtube stuck out:

Their laughing is shared by the audience, as they are being overcome by what is known as being “intoxicated by the spirit”. This “phenomenon” that is used as “proof” of the “Holy Spirit” is nothing more than an example of a semi conscious state that I’ve heard refereed to the black community, here in the South, my whole life as “falling out”. This has as much to do with “proof” as does hypnosis, snake charming and fire walking. It is simply a very easy to achieve state of consciousness. Boo!
