Group dynamics and mental frenzy are often confused for the descent of the holy spirit to inspire human activity.
Loosened inhibitions and others inspiration can certainly explain this behavior.
But they call it “Pouring out God’s wine.”
No rational Westerner will do this. It’s undereducated action completely explicable by modern thought.
And yet, it happens.
