From the first response:

And there are only 2 places to spend it, either in the presence of God almighty or forever separated from him. A lot of people don’t believe this. But what if I’m right? Wouldn’t you want to be with God?

What if you are right? Then I will spend eternity apart from god. If that means hell, then hell it is. The god of the bible, of creation, is not something or someone to be worshiped, loved, admired, or touted as great.

Would I want to be with god? No. I wouldn't want to be with God. If Jesus were to walk in my room right now, let me finger his wounds, and tell me how his death showed me how to live eternally with him, I would not stop and agree that He is someone to be worshiped. God/Jesus is not a character I want to associate myself with. God is a dismal failure, and those who follow him are free to do so. But I don't believe the character of God or Jesus is one to be admired.

Why do I frustrate you so?

Because you haven't added anything to the conversation. You have disrespected the process of answering your easy questions first through the available channels. You repeat the same conversation that I was taught to have with people like me. It's old.

You made the comment below that my thoughts and punchlines aren't creative or genuine, but rather stolen punchlines from other websites. I would love to see how I've plagiarized other atheists. By all means, school me.

My Christian education taught me that it was disrespectful to ask others what you can find out on your own.

Further, one HUGE criticism of the Christian church and its adherents is that Christians are willfully ignorant. The books and information are available to create great doubt in all things faithful, and yet Christians avoid those resources? Why? Because open-minded, intellectualism -- learning for self -- is detrimental to the Christian message.

You ask these questions because you are willfully ignorant, willfully avoiding the "about" page and learning more about me before jumping into a conversation. That's called trolling.

Why did you have to resort to name calling?

I knew this one was coming. If you confuse being accused of acting like a jerk with being called a jerk, you have a lot to learn.

Or I called you a name. Your skin is thin. And your mind is weak.

Is it because you are so used to being cheered on and lifted up on high for lashing out and making fun of anyone who claims faith in God?

Quite the opposite. This blog is rarely applauded for its stand. Rather, people like you show up and repeat from the same script, verbatim, reminding me that my past is getting repeated word for word.

Not to mention, your bible predicts that you will be made fun of, ridiculed for faith. Consider it a fulfillment of scripture.

And ROM 3:23 being bragging rights for the inferiority of Humanity?

Seriously? When does that verse come up except to establish some sort of even playing ground reminding you -- and me -- that no one is better than anyone. It's a trump card that people like you pull out incessantly. In your god's name, it's nauseating.

I wonder what happened that caused such a change?

Passive aggressive questions are unbecoming but deserve a similar, passive aggressive response: Garsh, Nick, if only there were a way for you to find out about my past and why my path turned.

So with all this Bible knowledge you have, let me ask you, where are you going to spend eternity?

My biblical knowledge differs from yours. It's superior to yours. If you had a better understanding of the bible, you'd understand that the bible's interpretation of hell and the devil are maladjusted inclusions that when studied well, reveal that they are extra biblical ideas.

Christians who spend time translating from the Hebrew and Greek come to this conclusion often. It's the remedial learners -- like yourself -- who hold on and tell people they have "two options" for eternity.

But -- again -- if eternity has two choices, I choose the option far from God.

Nick, you're an embarrassment to your own "worldview."

For all have sinned? Your sin is abandoning the pursuit of intelligence.

Go and sin no more.

Incredible familiarity? All I see are punchlines you can get from 10,000 blogs out there. And how do you gather that I am unfamiliar with the Bible. I've never found Bible thumping to be successful, but like I said. I study it often. And I know what God wants of me. You didn't answer any of my questions. I wonder why that is Jeremy?

Sorry for not reading your about page. I don't read about pages. I try to learn about people by interacting with them. And I think I've learned a lot about you. Why do I frustrate you so? What did I say that was so offensive? Why did you have to resort to name calling? Is it because you are so used to being cheered on and lifted up on high for lashing out and making fun of anyone who claims faith in God?
And ROM 3:23 being bragging rights for the inferiority of Humanity? What's that about? I only referenced it because so many people think that Christians think themselves perfect. I don't know any born again Chrisians that bragg about sin. I'm not a Bible scholar but I do study it. And if I don't let myself get distracted while I'm doing it, God always reveals something more about his Grace and Mercy to me.
I know a few people who almost went to seminary. Nothing wrong with almost. I almost did a lot of things. But none of the guys I know that almost went to seminary speak the way you do about Almighty God and our Savior Jesus. I wonder what happened that caused such a change? Or were you always this way and it was your parents who were trying to get you to go to seminary? I'm genuinely curios.
So with all this Bible knowledge you have, let me ask you, where are you going to spend eternity?

Aren't you a frustrating little bug.

I have more biblical background than I imagine you ever will.

I've spent months on John alone. Years on the Psalms and Genesis. I've done more time on Romans than most prisoners spend in prison.

I've studied the bible in depth to the point of wanting to go to seminary, and I had what you described above as the heart that genuinely loved and admired it.

Why is it you want me to repeat this?

You're being a jerk, Nick. I feel you and I have covered this, and if you took the time to read my about page, you'd have a full understanding of just how far I went as a Christian.

I implore you to actually study your bible from an outside perspective. From one that doesn't consider Romans 3:23 bragging rights for the inferiority of humanity.

Maybe then we can have a productive conversation.

Since you like to comment on "the Book" maybe you should READ "the Book and start to understand the mind and heart behind it. You know, we Christians are not perfect. God makes that clear in Romans 3:23. But we strive to live each day better than the last. And by better I mean we stay on the (narrow) path that God lays out for each of us. One last thought; Death is only the end of our life here on earth. Our spirit lives on for eternity. And there are only 2 places to spend it, either in the presence of God almighty or forever separated from him. A lot of people don't believe this. But what if I'm right?
