Friday night I threw an impromptu pizza party. I made my own dough for the first time. Usually I use Jiffy brand boxed dough.
I made 2 pizzas using a Neapolitan dough recipe from a pizza recipe book I use. It turned out really well for my first time. The pizza pictured above is a no-sauce pizza with tomatoes, yellow bell pepper, parsley, capers, and mozzarella and drizzled with olive oil.
I made 5 total pizzas. They were:
- The one above
- Neapolitan dough with zucchini, goat cheese, garlic and I used sautéed shallots. It also had dried oregano and some lemon juice. Also, no sauce.
- Jumbo shrimp pizza with lemon zest, basic tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- A pepperoni pizza with mushrooms
- A mushroom pizza.
