This was some footage we grabbed of Talulah’s first snow day. She loved the snow so much that I think she might have eaten something that made her sick. She’s been diarrhea-ing and vomiting since this morning at around 3:30.
The poor thing. I don’t want to leave her alone today. 😦
On a happy note, she sure had fun in the snow.
Whoops, said the little man at the meat counter.
Today In The History Of Catholicism, December 5, 1484: Innocent VIII issues the Summis Desiderantes Affectibus, effectively opening the door to murder over 200,000 innocents as ‘Witches’.
It may seem a little early for a strong alcoholic beverage, but pour yourself a strong one and join the party. My Christmas present from you dropped under my Christmas tree a few days early.
Sometime yesterday, we topped 100,000 all-time hits. And if it weren’t for you, we’d never arrived. So if you’re not celebrating, too, there’s something wrong with you. I strongly recommend a visit to the doctor as soon as possible.
HONK.
Unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention when we crossed the 100,000 hit threshold, so I assume the 100,000th visitor was YOU!
Ding ding ding ding ding! Congratulations! [Insert celebratory music of your choice]
I started this blog in June of 2009. In August, Tina and I visited the Creation Museum with the PZ300, and it prematurely ejaculated the hits from less than 1,000 to 10,000 hits. We’ve had a great average of hits per month since then, and it continues to get stronger.
I never thought that attending the Creation Museum would do what it did. I wanted to go because I wanted to be more involved in my community. I met a lot of you because of that experience, and I’m ever grateful.
I met a load more of you after D’Souza slaughtered Loftus last February. And I’m pleased as a peach by all the new faces that pop in along the way.
In no definitive order, the regular readers and commenters are: Luis V, SAW, Xina, Petursey, Steve P., Gizela, The Old Fart, AatRB Julie, Tim Cooley, Kilre, Bella, Neuenschwander, Wesley, Ben Hoffman, Biodork, Jude, Dan J., George W., Glock, a lurker named Mike, krissthesexyatheist and my wife Tina. If you’re name came up toward the end, it’s because I love you more … just like Jesus … the last shall be first. And if you were first, I love you more, but don’t tell the lasties, they’ll get jealous.
Sorry I didn’t take the time to link to your blog if you have one. Please feel free to leave a comment to link us to you.
If I forgot you, leave me a nasty comment so I can add you as I back away with my tail between my legs.
I think my sister in law still reads, but I’m not sure. And I’m aware that I have lurkers, but unless they reveal themselves, I haven’t a clue who they are. Maybe this post will pull them out of hiding.
But to all the regulars, thanks for reading. Thanks for commenting. Thanks for re-posting on your blogs, re-tweeting or facebooking Le Café content. You guys all continue to impress me with well-thought responses, and I can only encourage you to respond more so we can perpetuate the conversation.
I’m also thrilled by the believers who had a large presence here but have come and gone. Zdenny and Prophet Lady made star-studded appearances. They’ve long left the blogging world, because their crazy out matched them. There were people like Marianne — who still blogs — and she’s still batshit nuts in that endearing Marianne way.
There was a guy named Handsome Matt who stuck around for a while, but he disappeared. And of course there were the baby brothers of inanity Justin and Mark, the Pullman WAs Gospel Messengers. They hung up their towel for a dirtier version of message delivery. They launched a one-sided web site that we have all come to expect from people who are incapable and too cowardly to have a two-way conversation.
We have new believers stop in all the time, and I’m chomping at the bit for a new challenge.
So pour yourself a second drink, because I’m sure you finished the first by now and stay awhile. I’d love to hear your feedback on what you like and don’t like. What do you want to see more of? Less?
As for this blogging thing, I’m going strong and loving every minute of it. I’d love to expand, and I’m hoping to do that in 2011. I am hoping to move the blog over to a better server with better blogging software so that you guys can have more control over responses and I can post more varieties of videos.
I wish I were a full-time blogger. But until then, many thanks, honks and thanks again!
