Over the past few months, I’ve been negotiating several jobs with a customer. It’s been difficult, but we have finally reached a decision this morning.
Insert a sigh of relief.
Monday night I was so worked up, I couldn’t sleep at all.
The next couple months are going to busy. March 17 to 19 we’re in New York City. Back in Chicago, we shoot for two, full days March 21 and 22.
March 24 we leave to shoot a wedding in Mexico, and then we are going to spend a couple days shooting the sights in the land of the legal illegals — which also happens to be our new band’s name.
We have a tight editing schedule for April, and then we’re off to NYC again in the middle of April.
Recently, I took a small gratis job for a non-profit organization. It’s a video that educates friends and families with teenage pregnancies. Every time I work with the files, I get a little emotional. I can’t show the work here (sorry), because it’s for internal use and it uses a song that may (or may not be) copyrighted.
A lot of posts I’ve been scheduling ahead of time so you guys think I still have a pulse. Which I do.
Wait.
Let me check.
Yep. I have a pulse.
Last night, Tina and I were going through some footage from the Blizzard of 2011, and I found some that I might work into a short video for you guys. Don’t tell anybody.
When you see it, you’ll thank your lucky stars that you live where you do … unless you live north of Chicago … then you’ll say, “Jeremy, you’re a pansy.”
Despite all the work, the most difficult part is going to be leaving Talulah and Zoe for any length of time. Tina and I always got a little wonky about leaving Zoe who can essentially fend for herself. Now we have two sweet animals, and it’s going to break our hearts in four (instead of two).
We’ll make it, though. We’ll accept donations, gifts, hopes, best wishes … and even prayers.
