Yesterday we landed in sunny Cancun and then got a shuttle out to our hotel in Playa Del Carmen. When we got here, we had to make our return arrangements with some cheesy sales guy named Mario.
I was pissed off, because we had to wait to talk to the guy while he sold some schmo an outing to some nearby money trap.
All I wanted to do was get out to the beach or get a cocktail. We’d been up since 3 a.m. at that point, and waiting to talk to a salesman was the last thing on my list of things to do.
Afterwards, we started walking around the resort and ran into Adam and Sarah, they are brother and sister-in-law to the bride and we shot their wedding last November.
We had a cocktail with them and they gave us a rundown of how things work. Of course they were lit up from a day of drinking.
Then we freshened up and met a few people at a bar later, only to retire early for some room service and bedtime.
We’re watching the first season of Modern Family. Last night we watched two episodes during dinner and then hit it.
This morning, I ran four miles. I’ve showered (with Florence + The Machine) and now it’s time for the breakfast.
Pictures to come later today.
