I took this shot of my dad (the old fart) on Tuesday. He needed a pro shot for the work he’s been doing.
I did this one with dramatic lighting that he probably can’t use for his work in China, but it’s a shot I’m proud of anyway.
My dad really likes it. He thinks it makes him look patriarchial. Tina says he looks like a founding father. I told her not to give dad any ideas. He might want to work on Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign.
I’m particularly proud that I set up the shot outside trying to use the sun as a hair light, but ended up overpowering it too much. The black backdrop I attached to the fence, because I didn’t bring any extra stands except one for the strobe I used. The kicker is a silver reflector just outside of frame.
