What if you were asleep for the past 10,000 years. You slept straight through history, the building of the pyramids, Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, the Greeks, China, medieval times, the renaissance, and all the scientific advancements throughout the last 100 years.
Somebody woke you up about five minutes ago, and they said, “If you want to live forever, accept that what I’m about to tell you is true, that a man loved you and died for you, and then you can live forever.”
I’d push the snooze button and roll back over.
