I wanted to share a few shots from this past weekend for you to take a look at.

I started listening to this lecture on Free Will last night lying in bed before falling asleep.
I made it about half way. The beast is worth a listen. Harris’ argument is compelling, and my mind was filling with ideas on how to integrate this with the “Ovarian Lottery.”
Worth a listen.
Holy bajoli, this video of an 86-year-old woman doing floor gymnastics will likely make you sick with some kind of jealousy.
86-year old Johanna Quaas demonstration on FX – “Turnier Der Meister” Cottbus 2012
I often wonder when playing with Zoe, who’s getting old by kitty standards, why she still acts like a kitten. I’m convinced it’s to keep herself youthful. It’s the rough equivalent of this woman doing gymnastics.
We should all take note.

A police surveillance video taken the night that Trayvon Martin was shot dead shows no blood or bruises on George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who says he shot Martin after he was punched in the nose, knocked down and had his head slammed into the ground.
The surveillance video, which was obtained exclusively by ABC News, shows Zimmerman arriving in a police cruiser. As he exits the car, his hands are cuffed behind his back. Zimmerman is frisked and then led down a series of hallways, still cuffed.
Zimmerman, 28, is wearing a red and black fleece and his face and head are cleanly shaven. He appears well built, hardly the portly young man depicted in a 2005 mug shot that until a two days ago was the single image the media had of Zimmerman.
People don’t buy insurance because they don’t feel like it?
We watched the recent episode of NOVA about Genomics and the Genome Project, heavily funded by Christian Francis Collins. The hit many points of how knowledge of potential genetic diseases can help people as they face their futures.
It’s time for conservatives to get their collective heads out of their asses on this issue. If it’s not Obamacare, it’s time to help Americans get the healthcare they need, preventative and otherwise.
A couple weeks ago, Stan at TYWKIWDBI took a blogging hiatus to have bunions removed. Since TYWKIWDBI is my newest, favorite blog, you can imagine the deflated farty honk. Stan posts lots about science, but the mix of topics is fascinating.
Let’s put it this way. He makes me feel so … uncivilized.
I’m not kidding about the bunions either. He posted a picture of Paul Bunion and wrote, “Guess what kind of surgery I’m having and why I’ll be taking a break for a couple weeks?”
Stan is now back to blogging, and he didn’t limp back in. He threw a handful of grenades into the well of his blog and it exploded all over.
There were too many to reblog individually, so I thought I would do a batch reblog. Enjoy.
In fact, you should probably browse the front page as soon as possible. There are cool pictures of insects and a story on How African Countries got their borders.
Go enjoy the blog. I’m going to go do a dance around a fire in a loin cloth like some kind of uncivilized banshee, (Native American not the Irish fairy).
