Over the weekend, we photographed for over 30 hours during two days.
We rented a full-sized sensor medium format Hasselblad H2 with a P45+ back. The camera was worth around $50,000.
Once you put one of those cameras in your hands, there’s a problem.
The problem is, you end up wanting one so badly it hurts. All over.
The details from this beast were incredible. And by incredible, I mean, the darks to lights, the detail in skin, the images out of camera, surpassed my best images by 50 to 75%.
That’s why when I posted the above image of me, I wanted you to check out all the detail.
There is no photoshop on that image, and it’s actually a crop in on a MUCH larger image. Look at the pores. The hair follicles. The plastic of my glasses.
On Facebook, someone said they didn’t believe I had lenses in them. That’s due to the direction of my light source.
I loved that camera so much, and if I had a cool million laying around, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
