They say your media diet says a lot about you … Well … damn.

This past week has been dedicated to photo editing. Between a 50mp camera and a 40mp camera, save times can range from 3 to 8 minutes, and my computer is not slow. It gives me time to blaze through different websites for stories.

Keeping up with all the fake news in the world can become a time suck. Here are just a handful of stories that have had my attention over the past few days.

  1. Whether or not the children are held separate from their parents – Are the parents not at fault for migrating undocumented children to begin with ?

They shouldn’t even be in the country; What do you suggest is done with the children while their criminal parents are processed ?

    1. You’re right. What they are doing is illegal.

Everyone agrees, even the president and his administration (now) that families should not be separated.

The question isn’t for me to answer, then, since I’m not for separating them and most people are not.

What do YOU suggest we do with the families?

      1. But what is the issue with separating children from criminal parents for a process that needs to be done?
The children are looked after by adults and are fed, I just don’t see the issue with it ?

Do you have any idea how many children are in the American foster system ? What is the ethical issue with children being separated from negligent parents?

Why are we vilifying immigration policy because negligent people put their own children in the situation of undocumented migration ?

      2. “But what is the issue with separating children from criminal parents for a process that needs to be done?

I have a feeling you think you’re really smart. What you write and how you come off is insouciant at best and poorly educated at most.

I also get the feeling you’ve got several of the same conversations going on several sites where you cut and paste the same flimsy arguments in the comment sections. Your responses are erratic and disjointed.

Define, for yourself, a misdemeanor. Then revisit your sentences including the words “criminal.”

Don’t cut and paste. Find some real arguments and engage me.

      3. What I think about myself has nothing to do with the issue.

My arguments are extremely real and sound, you can just respond to them as they are; everything I said still stands.

  2. What you think is real and sound? You keep telling yourself that.

We should act as the Christian nation we claim to be, and welcome families destitute and in search of work and safety … with open arms, feeding them, and clothing them. That should be our duty and honor. No cost spared.

And if they are criminals, we should forgive them, 70 x 7, and help them make it here in the states.

And we should find foster families for foster children … And we should live as if we know that this kind of behavior is better than acting superior to all others.

You, dear cut-and-paster, should know that best.

  3. People have interesting ways of looking at things. I really enjoyed reading all the links and shaking my head at the sheer stupidity of most of it! Thanks Jeremy…your blog gives me a lot of insight of what’s happening in the USA and how people there think.

    1. I’m so glad my blog can give some insight on the craziness that happens here. We’re a diverse people, but sometimes the loudest voices are the weirdest!

I love that you’re a regular around here! It makes me happy. 😁
